In the name of God Amen I John
Snell beinge sicke in body but whell in mynd & p[er]fect memorye
the lord be thanked for it Doe somoned my sowle into the hands
of Allmighty God with full assurance that Christe Jesus is my
Savio[u]r and Redeem[e]r and my body to be buryed in the church yarde
of Stradsett And I give to my eldest sone Bartholomewe Snell
10s and to my s[ec]ond Alexander 30s one year after my death to be paid
to Elizabeth my daughter 30s to be payd one yeare after my
death The rest of my goods I give unto my wife Anne Snell
whom I make sole Ex[e]trix of this my will and testam[en]t And
Marmaduke French to be supervisor herof and for his pains I give
him 20s to be payd one yeare after my death And if yt shall
please god to call my wife vppon this sicknes wher w[i]th she is unto
visited then I do ordayne and uppoynt my brother George Snell
to be supervisor of my will with Marmaduke French and my goods to be
divided equelly amongst my three children, that is to saye Bartholo-
mewe, Alexander and Elizabeth, my death beinge discharged
and further if it shall please god to call my wife nowe uppon this her
sickness then I will and bequeath iijs unto my brother’s daughter
Frances Snell, if so be that her Father doe not p[ro]vide for her
Before the second of February next insuinge to be payd unto my
sister Francess Pettit for her bringing upp if she will
accepte of yt if not I will refer it to the descrec[i]on of the
supervisors of my will In witnes wherof I have herunto sett
my hande this xxijth daye of September 1608 wittnesses herof
