In the name eof God Amen The sixth
day of March in the yeare of our lor god according to the CHurch of England one thousand
sixe hundred twentie and eight I John Taylor al[ia]s Buxton of Woky in the Countie of
Som[er]set husbandman, being sicke in body, but of sound and perfect memory (prasied be god)
doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge, that is to saie,,br/>

I commend my sowle into the hands of Allmightie god my Creator And my bodie I committ
to the earth to be buried in the Churchyard of Woky aforesaid

parishe church of Woky aforesaid Three shillinges fourpence, And to the poore of the same

Item I give and bequeath unto William my sonne

the three acres of meadow in Jackwelle Ham and six acres of arrable land lyinge at Knoll and
Knollhill together with the indenture of Seale. To have and to hold to him the said William and his
assignes, for and during the terme of the lines in the said Indenture specified

bequeath all that five acres of meadow be it more or les lying in new Moves within the Mannor of
Wells, together with the Indenture of lease thereof, unto the said William and Anthony my
said sonnes. To have and to hold to them the said William and Anthony and their assignes
for and durinh the terme o their lives and the life of everie of them longest livinge ioyntie

I give and bequeath unto the said William and Thomas my said sonnes, that close of
medow or pasture grounds conteyning by estimation fowre ackers lying in Godny in the North
west Coumbe of Godnywood together with the indenture of lease. To have and to hold unto them
the said William and Thomas, for and during the terme of the said Indenture limmitted
and expressed.
Item I give and bequeath unto the said William Thomas and Anthony
my said sonnes, all that third part of seventeene acres of meadowe in Midle Padinore?
together with the Indenture of lease thereof. To have and to hold To them and their assignes

bequeath unto the said Thomas my sonne all that halfacre of meadoe lyinge in Hornsmeade

Item I give and bequeath unto
Mary and Christian my said daughters all that Close of meadowe or pasture ground conteyning
by estimation twelve ackres, beit more or lesse lyinge at Godney together with the indeture of lease
ther. To have and to hold unto them the said Mary and Christian and their assignes ioyntlie
for and during the terme of the said lease limmitted and expressed.
Item I give and bequeath unto
the said Christian and Mary my said daughters, all those three ackres and halfe of meadow
ground lying in the mares together with the indenture of lease thereof. To have and to hold
to them and their assignes in manner and forme followinge that is to saie unto the said Christian and
her assignes. Two parts of the profitts of the said grounds, and the third part of the p[ro]fitts of the said
ground unto the said Mary and her assignes, for and during the terme yet to come, and not expired
and determinable uppon the lines in the said INdenture named and expressed.

bequeath unto my said daughter Mary my little Bay mare two acres and half of wheat
at Marly, and fortie shillinges worth of wheate out of the Mont.

the said Mary and Christian my said daughters all my wines linnen and wollen apparrell
equally to be devided between them

said sonne my Correll Nagg and a coffer.

sonnes six couple of yus and lambes to be equally devided betweene them.

bequeath unto John my sonne one Steere sparkiled redd and two acres of meadowe lying in yorrstead
together with the Indenture of Lease thereof To have and to hold unto him the said John his executors
and assignes for and during the terme yet to come and determinable uppon the lives of the said Thomas
and Anthonie my said sonnes
Item I give and bequeath unto Mary my said daughter my best
brassepanne.
Item I give and bequeath unto Christian my said daughtermy two best brasse
ketles.
Item I give and bequeath unto John and William my sonnes aforesaid my nest bed and
all thinges belonging to it.
Item I give an bequeath unto the saidMary and CHristian my daughters my
two second best bedds and the bedding thereto
Item my will is that all the cattell which I have
given by this my last will and testament to my said children shall be fostered and kept by myne executor
with the haie which I leave unto him untill they shall goee to grasse. And that haie which
shalbe then left to be devided amongst them, unto whom I have given the said cattell

and bequeath untoChristian my said daughter all that pewter vessell which was given to my sonne
Thomas deceassed and a black heiffer.
Item I give and bequeath unto John my sonne my best

This will written above was proved at London before the venerable Master Henry Marten knight, Doctor of Laws the master guardian of the Commission constituted for the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, the twelfth day of May AD 1629 Judgment given to John Tayler alias Buxton the son and Executor named in the same will, the which commission gave administration of all and singular...
