Research Notes

  • One of the properties included in the bequest to his daughter Susanna was located in New Brentford. So far I have focused my research on Richmond, Surrey, but perhaps a look at New Brentford is called for to see how the various Boddicott families were related to each other.
  • It seems that Susanna Boddicott sued her step-mother after Moses died.
Boddicott vs. Boddicott The National Archives. This document would be interesting to read, but is not available for download.
  • Griffith Jones, tenant, appears also in the will of Moses Boddicott the Elder.
  • The Three Tuns was a popular names for pubs and The Three Tunns in this will might have been an inn to the south of High Street, New Brentford, that "by 1720 had been divided into separate properties." [3]
