thank[es] be gyven to god make this my laste
will and testament in maner and forme folowinge
all other for to stande voyde and withowte strength
and effecte Fyrste I gyve and bequethe my sowle
to almightie god redemed by his precyous bloude

body to be buryed in the churche yarde of Hengh[a]m
aforesayde Item I gyve and bequethe to the pore

Kateryne my wief the closse that I bought of Thomas
Dowsinge lyenge in Hengh[a]m after my dep[ar]tinge this
presente lief for to gyve and to sell Item I gyve

movable goodes and she for to loke upon my children

Cateryn my wief shall paye or cause to be paide
owte of the aforenamed closse that I bought of
the sayde Thomas Dowsinge to Agnes Aubery my

paye or cause to be payde at the daye of her

or yere after the presente daye of this will

Edward the sixth, by the grace of God, king of England, France and Ireland, defender of the faith, and of the church of England also of Ireland, in earth supreme head; make it universally known that this testament was proved at Hingham before the Official of the Archdeacon of Norfolk, the twenty-seventh day of the month of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand five hundred and forty eight and in the second year of the current king; and administration of the goods and debts was committed to the executors named in the said testament, sworn in due form of law; stated by the Official, before witnesses William, Bishop of Norwich and Alexander Carew, Archdeacon of Norfolk
