Will of Robert Duggleby

In the name of God Amen I Robert Duggleby of Lund in the county of York, Grassman being sick of body but of good and perfect memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as following First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping and praying through the only purity of Jesus Christ my saviour to be made partaker of life everlasting and my body I commit to be buried in the church or churchyard at to how it shall please God take up for my worldly goods I give and bequeath in manner and form as follows Firstly I give unto John Duggleby my brother one ewe and one lamb one sheep hog and one suit of my best clothes and one pair of boots

the rest of my good unbequeathed my debts paid and my funeral expenses discharged I give unto my wife whom I make my sole executor of this my last will and testament in witness whereto I have set my hand this four and fourteenth day of April 1647. Witnessed by William Robinson, George Witty and William Robinson junior

Proved at York 31st November 1648 by Elizabeth Dougleby widow and relict.
