This is a transcription of the register office copy of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury will of Robert Taylor alias Buckestone. The will was written on the 22 March 1613 and probate was granted on 20 May 1614.

I Robert Taylor al[ia]s Buckestone of woore in the p[ar]ish of Woky in the countie of Somersett
husbandmanbeinge sicke and weake in body but of sound and perfect memorie praysed be God Doe
make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge vizt
First I commend my soule into
the handes o Allmightie God my Creator and my body to the earth to be buried in the p[ar]ish Churche<brr/>
of Woky aforesaid nere to the end of my siege [2]or pew.
Item I give and bequeath toeards the rep[ar]a[t]ions
and other godlie uses to be ymployed about the said p[ar]ishe church of Woky ........
Item I give and
bequeath unto the poore distressed ympotent people of the same p[ar]ish Tenne pounds of lawfull
money of England of the w[hi]ch Tenn poundes myne Executrix and her Executors administrators and
assignes and everie of them shall yerelie untill the sume is fullie distributed and payed unto the
poore aforesaid paye and distribute Twentie shillings in manner and fome followinge vizt Tenne
shillings on the feast ot St Thomas thappostle and Tenne shillings more on good frydaye in everie
yeere and the first payment hereof to begin on the feast of eyther of the sayed next ymediately
followinge after my death.
Item I give unto my brother John Taylor al[ia]s Buckestone thelder of weeke
Twentie shillings
I give unto my brother John Talor al[ia]s Buckestone the younger of wells one
hundred pounds of lawfull money of England of the w[hi]ch hundred poundes my sayed brother John the
younger shall paye unto Ralfe Gorwaye of wells aforesaid channler the sumee of fortie and eight
pounds of lawfull money of England for one lease of an house at Gropelanes and at wells aforesaid
one stable and a garden belonging to the said house for and duringe the naturall lives of John Taylor
al[ia]s Buckestone and Mary Taylor al[ia]s Buckestone children of my said brother John the youngerand
John the son of Edward Brocke late deceased and for the lyfe of everie of them longest liveing as
they shalbe name in the sayed lease, Alsoe my will is that Elizabeth my wyef shall have two of the
best chambers of and in the said house to and for her owne proper use after my decease yf shee lyke
and accept the same dueringe her lyef.
Item I give and bequeath to my sister Elizabeth Foster of
Dulcott widow Twentie poundes of lawfull money of England.
Item I give unto Abraham Foster
sonne of my said sister Twentie pounds of like lawfull money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto Joane, Elizabeth, Thomas, John and Mary the naturall children of my said sister Elizabeth
Foster fortie shillings a peece.

twentie and one yere Then my will is that Edward and Mary children of the said Edward Brocke
shall have the same Twentie poundes equallie to be devided betweene them.

seale the daye and yere first about written.

Item my will is that all the legacies w[hi]ch I by this my will have given to each
the legataries herein shalbe paayed to them and every of them by myne Executrix in bills
obligac[i]ons and such other goods w[hi]ch I shall leave have by the ad... and discretion of Martyn
Tucker of Godewhay John Taylor al[ia]s Buckestone the younger my brother and Thomas
