In the Name of God Amen
I Sir Charles Palmer of Dorney Court in the Parish of Dorney
in the County of Bucks Baronet being in perfect health and
sound Memory thanks be given to Almighty God for the
same, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner
and form following First I recommend my Soul into the
Hands of Almighty God hoping through the Merits and
Mediation of our Blessed Saviour Jesus Christ perfect
remission and forgiveness of my Sins and Errors of a life
past and my Body to be privately and decently buried
in the Vault of my Family in the Parish Church of
Dorney aforesaid which I wholly leave to the discretion of
my Executrix hereafter mentioned Whereas in my Marriage
settlement bearing the date the nineteenth day of December 1730
There is a power reserved by vertue of a Term limitted.

to Trustees for 99 years to raise the sum of two
thousand Pounds either out of the Rents and Profits of the
Estate or by Sale or Mortgage or otherwise to be disposed
of at my Will and Pleasure And Whereas it hath pleased
God to bless me with two Daughters Harriot and Dorothy
Harriot the late Wife of William Pottin Battyn Esquire of
London Merchant and of the Island of Barbados in America
whom I provided for ^on her Marriage therefore I give unto
William Pottin Battyn Esquire five hundred Pounds only part
of the aforesaid two thousand Pounds as I promised him
on his Marriage with my aforesaid Daughter and as for
the fifteen hundred Pounds remainder of the said two
thousand Pounds which I have the Power of disposing of
I give to my Daughter Dorothy now the Wife of Gousse
Bomin Esquire of Philadelphia in America Merchant and
confirm the Deed I have executed for that purpose And
Whereas by the said Indenture I have reserved some part
of the Estate for my own use only that is to say A
Farm called Abrooks then in the Possession of Edmund
Carter at the Yearly Rent of twenty five Pounds ^but now in
the Possession of the Widow Sedding at the yearly Rent of
thirty six Pounds And also a small Farm ^there in the Possession
^[in margin: of John Applebee at the yearly Rent of Five pounds but now in the Possession]
of John Allen at the yearly Rent of nine Pounds I give
and bequeath the aforesaid Premises to my Grandson
Charles Harcourt Palmer and likewise all my Books and
Pictures and likewise all the Arrears of Rent that shall
be due to me at the time of my decease As to [erased] Rest
of my Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever I give
and bequeath to my dear and loving Wife she paying
first all my Debts and Funerall Expences and these following
Legacies To Mrs Sarah Palmer the Widow of my late
Son Charles Palmer one hundred Pounds To my Grandson
Charles Harcourt Palmer five hundred Pounds to enable
him the better to pay his Grand Mothers Joynture To
my Daughter Dorothy and Gousse Bomin fifty Pounds a
peice To my Grandson Charles Henry Bomin one hundred
Pounds To my Grandaughter Harriot Bomin one hundred
Pounds To my Brother and Sister Harcourt twenty five
Pounds a peice To the poor of the Parish of Dorney
fifteen Pounds To the Poor of the Parish of Boveny ten
Pounds I constitute and appoint my Dear and loving
Wife sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and
likewise appoint her Guardian to my Grandson Charles
Harcourt Palmer not in the least doubting but that she
will give him a proper Education - Charles Palmer - Signed
Sealed and Published by the Testator as his last Will and
Testament this fourteenth day of March in the Year of
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two In the
Presence of us - Wm Baker - S: Parry - I Knottesford.

This Will was Proved at London the seventeenth
day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and seventy three Before me the Worshipful Sir
George Hay Knight also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or
Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully
constituted by the Oath of Dame Anne Palmer Widow the
Relict of the deceased and sole Executrix named in the
said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and
singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased
having been first sworn duly to Administer.
