This is the last Will and Testament of me Susanna Twopeny late of Rochester but now of Walmer in the County of Kent widow and of which I appoint my sons Edward and William Executors I give and bequeath to my Son in law the Reverend Richard Twopeny Clerk the sum of iffy pounds free of Legacy Duty I give my embossed silver inkstand to my daughter Susanna to my said son Edward my large Welsh Bible which formerly belonged to my father and also my silver sugar caster and the portrait of Captain Richards I give to Mary the wife of my son the reverend David Twopeny Clerk my diamond hoop[?] ring to my said daughter Susanna my diamond brooch in which Mrs Eveans's hair is set to my daughter Charlotte the diamond and ruby ring which was Mrs Twopeny's to my daughter Catherine the diamond ring in which Mrs Morris's[?] hair is set and to my grand daughter Susanna my silver cake basket and I desire that my son Richard may be at liberty to take any Books belonging to me which he may wish to keep as a memorial of me And I give and bequeath all my books prints pictures and plate (except what is herein otherwise bequeathed) and also my household furniture linen and china glass wines and other liquors and all other movables in an about my house unto and equally between and among such of my daughters as shall be unmarried at the time of my decease as also my wearing apparel and lace and such trinkets as are not hereby specifically bequeathed And I hereby direct that all the Rest and Residue of my money securities and all money money in the public stocks or fund and all other my estate and effects whatsoever not by me herein otherwise disposed of (after payment of my debts funeral ad testamentary expenses) shall be divided into ten equal parts or shares and I give and bequeath one equal tenth part of share thereof unto my said said Edward one other equal tenth part of share thereof unto my said son William, one other equal tenth part of share thereof unto my said son David, one other equal tenth part of share thereof unto my said daughter Catherine, two other equal tenth parts or shares thereof unto my said daughter Susanna, two other equal tenth parts or shares thereof unto my said daughter Charlotte, and the remaining two equal tenth parts or shares thereof unto my said Richard and their several and respective executors administrators and assigns as Tenants in common and not as joint Tenants and I do hereby declare that it is not my intention in ay way to interfere by this my will with the property bequeathed by the will of my late father nor with the property comprised in my Marriage Settlement and I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto my said sons Edward and William their heirs executors administrators and assigns all and every the estate right title and interest which at the time of my decease may be vested in me or of which I may be seized or possessed as Trustee or Mortgagee to hold the same unto and to the use of the said Edward and William their heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the several natures and tenures thereof [.... - several words hard to decipher] and subject to such trusts and equities of redemption as the same estates rights and interests respectively may be subject or liable I also give and bequeath as memorials of me to my said son William my old edition of Spenser's Faery Queens and to my said son David my mother of pearl dishes and lastly I do hereby revoke all former wills of me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be and continue my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set hand this third day of March in the year of our old one Thousand eight hundred and forty five.
