In the name of God Amen I Thomas Duggleby of Foulton in the county of York, being sick of body but sound in mind and memory praised be to God do ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form as following First I bequeath my soul to God my maker and to Jesus Christ my saviour and redeemer and my body to be buried in the churchyard at Foulton I give to Jane Duggleby my daughter ten pound by legacy
I give to Robert Duggleby my brother one bushel of rye and one bushel of barley
I give to my daughter Mary five shillings
I give to Thomas Marshall one gimmer hog [a young lamb between 1-2 years old]by legacy
I give to Mary Marshall one gimmer hog
I give to William Marshall one gimmer hog by legacy
I make my wife Mary and William Duggleby my son and Thomas Duggleby my son my full and sole executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I set to my hand and seal this 25th day of January in the year of Our Lord God 1657
