The last Will and Testament of me Thomas Minchew of Bilston in the County of Stafford Iron waiter maker
First I give devise and bequeath to my good friends Zachariah Purkes of Wodnesbury in the County of Stafford Edge Tool maker and Robert Cooper of Bilston aforesaid Coal master all those five several messuages and living houses or tenements with the outbuildings and appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging situate standing and being in a certain place called Mash ofhouast Marsh same now or last in the or occupations of Samuel Mason [space]Bately William Lauder Sofoe Dodson and [space] and also a stable and hruth[?] hill place standing and being beyond the buildings formerly of William Warren but now or late of John Spoluites in March lantaforesaid heretofore in the holding of William Johnson but now or late of the said Jesse Dodson and also all those two several messuages or tenements with the houses outbuildings gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate standing and being in Walsall aforesaid on the western side of the said lane called Marsh Lane now or late in the several tenants or occupations of George Darlaston and [space] Allsop And also all that small parcel of land lying and being behind and adjoining to the said messuages and outbuildings now or late in the occupation of the said George Darlaston containing in length five yards and eight inches and in breadth four yards and twenty eight inches or thereabouts and now or late in the occupation of the said George Darlaston upon part of which said small piece of land a pig stye now stands or lastly stood together with all privileges rights members and appurtenances to the same premises belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold all and every the said several messuages buildings land herewith and premises with their and every of their appurtenances unto and to the use of the said Zachariah Parkes and Robert Cooper their heirs and assigns upon the butts and to and for the uses oude intents and purposes mournamid and derland in and by arestain indenture of release only executed and boaning sale on or about the first day of July now last past made between John Holmes of the Butts in the parish of Burhall in the County of Stafford Maltster of the one part and by arertain indenture of lease therein mentioned has the said John Holmes and absolutely and irrevocably limit direct and appoint grant bargain sell alike release and [?] unto me the said houses miurhouse and my heirs and assigns all the said messuages tenements or dwellinghouses buildings lands hereditaments and

premises with their and every of their appurtenances upon trust to sell and dispose of the same as is therein particularly mentioned and by and out of the monies arising from such sale amongst other trusts therein declared upon trust to pay and retain to [?] the principal sum if three hundred and twenty pounds thon and more due and owing from the said John Holmes to me the said testator together with lawful interest from the same to be reimbursed from the day of the sale if the said Indenture of release to the day of the repayment thereof and all costs and expenses in instituting any providings at law or otherwise to recover the same and I give and bequeath to the said Zachariah Parkes and Robert Cooper the said sum of three hundred and twenty pounds and interest and all my ready money monies in the funds and out at interest sureties for money and all and singular my household goods and furniture [?] in trade tools and implements used in my said trade and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever to hold to them the said Zachariah Parkes and Robert Cooper their Excrs Admons and assigns upon the trusts and to and for the sade intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) upon trust in the first place to pay and satisfy all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses and from and after the payment and satisfaction thereof or subject thereto upon trust to permit and suffer my dear wife Ann Minchew to have use and enjoy so much and furth part of my stock in trade and household goods and furniture as she shall think proper to reserve and keep for her own use for and during the term of her natural life she keeping the same in good order and repair upon further trust to sell and dispose of all the rest and residue of my said stock in trade household goods and effects for the best price and prices that can. E reasonably had and obtained for the same upon further trust that they my said trustees shall and do pay and apply such sum and sums of money as they shall think fit not exceeding fifty pounds in the whole in placing out my children apprentice upon further trust that they the said Zachariah Parkes and Robert Cooper and the survivor if them and their exons admons and assigns for such survivor shall and do from time to time place replace and continue at interest all the rest residue and remainder of the said trust monies upon Government or real security and pay and apply the interest share of to and to the use of my said wife for and during the term of her natural life for the maintenance and support of herself and my four children namely Elizabeth Sarah Ann and Thomas and from and after the decease of my said wife to pay and divide the said trust monies to and amongst my said four children as they respectively attain the age of twenty one years equally share and share alike and I commit the guardianship of my eldest son Charles and all other my said children to my said wife and I nominate constitute and appoint the said Zachariah Parkes and Robert Cooper executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my last Will and testament in writing whereof I the said Thomas Minchew the testator have to this my Will contained in these sheets of paper set my hand and seal that is to say my hand to the two first sheets and my hand and seal to this last sheet and my seal to the file or nap[?] where all the said sheets are amassed together this twenty fourth day of August in the fifty third year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the third by the grant of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland being defender of the faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirteen
