In the name of God Amen the Fifteenth day of Junne in the yeare
of o[ur] Lord god one thousand six hundred twenty and one & in the yeares of the raigne of o[ur]
soveraigne Lord KInge James of England Fraunce & Ireland Kinge the nintenth & of Scotland
the foure and fiftye I William Corderoy of Chute in the County of Wiltes esquier do make
my last will and testament in maner and forme followinge first I render and yeild upp
into the hands of my Lord god my soule not doubting but of his infinte mercies sett forth
in his dearly beloved sonne Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer & advocate he will
receive it into his glorie and place it in the Company of the heavenly angells & blessed
Sayntes when it shall departe out of this bodye I comend to the earth to be
buryed in my chappell in Chuet Church assuring my selfe that at the great day of the
general resurrection I shall receave the same aganne by the mighty power of god and my
corruptible bodye p[er]fecte & immortall

pounds of lawfull englishe money to be payed unto her at the age of twentye yeares or at her
mariage w[hi]ch of them that first happen
Item to my daughter Ellenor I give and bequeath foure
hundred pounds of like money to be paied unto her at the age of twentieth yeares or at her
marriage w[hi]ch of them that shall first happen & my will is that my said daughters shall in
the meane tyme have their dyett & lodginge in my dwelling house in Chuet in and good sorte
& maner as heretofore they have had the same all w[i]th said sumes of money dyett & lodginge
I will and doe desire my loving brother Edward Goddard esq[ie]r my Cosen Will[ia]m Sotwell esq[ui]r
& my Cosen William Stanton gent to rayse & levye out of all my lands tene[men]ts & rents lyinge &
beinge in Chuet & Conholt accordinge to a lease in trust to them heretofore made of the said
lands & ten[eme]ts to beginne after my decease for twelve yeares as by the said lease it doth & may
apptaine more playnley yeildinge and payinge yearely during the said lease unto my sonne
William Corderoy fyftye pounds of lawfull englishe money yearely at the Feastes of St
Michaell tharchangell & at the Annunciation of o[ur] Lady by even porcions

my sonne William Corderoy all my lands tenem[en]ts rents & hereditmants in Chuet Conholt Tangley
mowse upham & Wilton in the Countie of Wiltes & hampshire Summersett theire to my saide
sonne William to him & to the heires males of his body begotten or to be begotten & for default
of such issue then to my sonne Edward & to the heires males of his body begotten or to be begot=
ten & for defaulte of such issue to my sonne John & to the heires males of his body begotten or to be
begotten And of this my last will and testament revokinge all other willes & testam[en]ts heretofore
made I make constitute & appointe my said sonne William Corderoy my sole executor

give & bequeath unto my wife the beddinge wherein she layeth with all the furniture to the same
& also a bedd for her mayd w[i]th conveniente furniture for the same & allsoe tehir dyett

give & bequeath unto my three daughters twenty poundes of lawfull money to be yearely payed
unto them untill their porcions above bequeathed be payed unto them that is to saie to every
on six pounds thirteen shillings & foure pence yearely and as their prc[i]on is payed so much
of the said twenty pounds to ceasse By me Will[ia]m Corderoy. will[ia]m Corderoy Andrewe
Kingesmill, Sam. Kingesmill Jasp[er] mompesson Edward Flower./ Memorand[um] that the legacie of
four hundred poundes above wrighten bequeathed by the said Will[ia]m Corderoy the testator
to the said Bridget Corderoy was striken out by the testator him self w[i]th his nowne hande
and in the presence of these witnesses whose names are hereunfer wrighten the said testator
did them declare that his intent and meaninge was that the said foure hundred poundes shold be
not p[ar]te of his will nor att all paid to the said Bridgett for that he had otherwise by acte
executed conveyed a competente meanes to her in lewe of the said legacie being of good and p[er]fect
memorie the sixt daie of Januarie in the twentith yeare of his said Maj[est]ys raigne of England France
