This is a transcription of the register office copy of the will of William Stanborow . The will was written on 16 April 1638 and proved on 4 July 1638

In the name of God Amen, I William Stanborow being sick in Body, but
of good & p[er]fect memory (thanks be to unto Allmighty God for the same. Doe make this my
Last will and Testament in manner & forme following./

First I doe bequeath my
Soule to Allmighty God and to Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer, by whose
daeth and passion I onely hope to be saved, And I doe bequeath my Body to the
Earth to be buryed in the Churchyard of this p[ar]ishe of Enfield by the discretion of myne
Executrix hereafter named and as concerning my worldly estare w[hi]ch it hath pleased
God to blesse me with I doe give and bequeath in manner & forme following

First I doe give and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Prentise the wife of
Robert Prentise after my decease of my wife Katherine in South street in this p[ar]ishe of Enfield w[hi]ch I lately purchsed of Thomas Harlon w[i]th all & singular their Appurtenances and
after the decease of Margaret my said Daughter I doe give unto Robert
Prentise sonne of my said Daughter (if he shall fortune to live so longe, and to his
heires for ever, upon the condicion, That if my said daughter Margaret Prentise
doe paye unto Elizabeth Bosgrave the wife of John Bosgrave my other daughter
the som[m]e of Eleven poundes of lawfull English money within three monethes next
after my decease But if default of payement be made in p[ar]te or in all of the
foresaid Eleven poundes, Then I doe give bequeath unto my said daughter
Elizabeth Bosgrave and to her heires for ever The Tenement that William Came?
now dwelleth in w[i]th haulf a Barne hereunto adioyning and all Thappurten[an]ces to
the said Tenement belonging after the decease of my said wife Katherin

Item
I doe give unto Agnis Sanders, the wife of Edward Saunders my other daughter the
some of five poundes of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her within three
monethes next after my decease by myne Executor hereafter named Allso
all the residue of my goodes and chattells abd debts unbequeathed I doe give and
bequeath unto Katherin my loving wife, whome I doe make my whole & sole
Executrix of this my last will and Testament, And I doe hereby revoke all other
heretofore made.

Item whereas I have two leases w[hi]ch are chattells as yet
unexpired my will and meaning is, And I doe hereby give them unto William
Stanborow my sonne, all the residue of the tyme, w[hi]ch doth remaine in them unex=
pired after the decease of Katherine my wife, if there shalbe any time remaining
unexpired.

In wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale the
sixteenth daie of Aprill Anno D[omi]ni 1638
