Looking for life records for William McCracken of Donegal, Ireland ca 1790. He was the father of Samuel James Mccracken who was born around 1806 and came to NB, CA around 1832. Samuel married Margaret Kirkland, also of Donegal, who was reportedly 3 years younger than Samuel and came to NB in 1835.
Old family records show that William was a son of John McC Jr., brother to the rebel Henry Joy Mccracken. We are trying to substantiate this.
