I would like to join this project.

I have a question about Woodard's who arrived in Fayetteville Tenn, in the early 19th century. George Wiley (1844 - ?), Thomas Wiley (1868 - 1917), George Henry (1892 - 1944) were my ancestors all born in that city. But I can't connect them any farther back.

James Woodard, great grandfather was also James Woodard from Kelsale, Suffolk. His father was Timothy, may have used Goodall or Woodard or hyphenated as surname. Possibly from Starston

or Stanton?

I would like to join the Woodard name study. Also, perhaps this should be merged with the Woodward study since I believe Woodard was originally Woodward? I am looking for any Woodard or Woodward with Y DNA willing to compare.
