About the Project
The Wylie Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Wylie name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Wylie name.
As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual team studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Wylies), by time period (18th Century Wylies), or by topic (Wylie DNA, Wylie Occupations, Wylie Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.
Also see the related surnames and surname variants.

Background
Hello and welcome to the Wylie Name Study. I started the page to develop additional information about all Wylie's (as well as variants of the name) but with particular interest in my branch which came to the United States in the 1700's and ended up in the vicinity of Washington County and Armstrong County in Pennsylvania.

I would like to join the Wylie project. My 2nd great grandmother is Elizabeth Wylie, born in Scotland and lived her life in Ontario, Canada. She is frequently mistaken with another Elizabeth Wylie who lived her entire life in Scotland, hence, I have prepared a Wiki profile for her but I have no where to upload it. Can you please advise me how I can share her profile?
I haven't found my 2nd great grandmother's parents yet. They lived in Scotland.
The family intermarried with Monroe County Grays & eventually found their way to Texas.
