Recently my niece and I went to Yosemite for the weekend. She was the 6th generation of our family to go to Yosemite - we have a long history. My great-grandfather DK Stoddard owned a stagecoach line which took visitors into Yosemite from Merced. One of his wagons is on display at the Pioneer History Center at Wawona in Yosemite National Park. While in Yosemite recently, we walked with a cultural/history guide from the Yosemite Conservancy exploring and learning more about the history of Yosemite. I am eager to connect with others who have family history associated with Yosemite or simply love its natural wonders.
