Scope

Knowledge about schooling on profiles may assist the researcher in establishing associations with family if correctly categorised. The following is a draft documenting a proposed category mapping of the theme Zimbabwe, Schools and the principal schools in Zimbabwe.

Parent Category

The Africa, Schools category is the proposed parent category. This theme is nested under two Categories Schools and Africa. Schools may be found under the categories Education, Buildings and Social Institutions. Depending on the evolution of the Zimbabwean categories, it might later be proposed to nest this category among the Rhodesian categories, since most of these schools were in their prime during the pre-1980s

Implementation of the Theme

It is proposed that only school categories populated with profiles should be introduced. Each school shall be implemented as and when editing and categorization of profiles takes place.

Proposed Deletions

The Category Rhodesian Schools is active and was opened under the parent category Rhodesia. It is proposed that the Rhodesian Schools category be deleted in due course and that its sub-categories, all of which do not conform to naming standards, be deleted too.

Collaboration

The author seeks the collaborative input of the Categorisation Project, of which he is a member. There does not appear to be an active Schools Project. Categorization Project members may deliberate through its Google Groups facility. Other interested parties may collaborate via the author's Profile - Andrew Field, or on this free-space page.

Notification

Notification of this proposed listing will be done in the 'Zimbabwe, Schools Category thus allowing other users access to the proposal before entering non-conforming school categories.
