Brigham was my grandfather. When we would visit, he would go to an old desk he had with a dropdown front. He would open up his desk and give us lemon drops from a jar that he kept in the desk. We always looked forward to getting our lemon drops. My father, Harold, followed this tradition. When we would take our children to visit my father, he would go to the cupboard and give pieces of candy to our children.
