Biography
Katherine Ella "Katie" Spaid was born on July 17, 1918, near Buffalo Center, Iowa; she was the daughter of Charles and Ada Spaid. Ella was educated in the area of her birth. In 1939 she was united in marriage to Albert Pinney and they both resided in Marshalltown. Ella enjoyed being a housewife, enjoyed raising her children and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed garage sales, and antiques, loved the birds and country western music.
