Mary Susan, wife of John Ply, listed her birth month and year as October, 1868 and age as 31 in the 1900 census. She is listed having been married 16 years and mother of six children, five living. There are seven children in the family and so the two oldest are the children of john's first wife, Sarah Dozier. Susie lowered her age by a year or two in each of the next two censuses. The date 1871 is on her death tombstone but that would mean she was only twelve years old when she married and that is highly unlikely!!
