Charles Spall was born in Debenham, Suffolk, England.

Charles was the father of John Spall (baptised 1803).^[1]

He was born on 26 December 1780 and baptised in the Independent Chapel Debenham on 19 February 1781, the son of Samuel and Susannah "Spaul".^[2]

In 1800 Charles and Harriet Goodram baptised an illegitimate child, Charles Goodram (1800-1802).^[3]

He married Harriet Goodram in St Mary Magdalene Debenham on 6 December 1801. ^[4]
