Obituary, Newspaper Unknown, Lancaster, Ohio Death-- Thursday April 13, 1911 A prominent Berne Township farmers death occured at his home Wednesday night after a years illness. Funeral Friday. Charles Spangler a prominent farmer of Berne Township who had been in failing health for over a year caused by cancer, and dropsy, died at his home east of Lancaster, Wednesday evening at 9:40 PM. He was 79 years of and and is survived by the following children; Mrs Orpha Evans, Mrs Julia Feetley (should read Saloma Feckley), Mrs. Mary Bowers, Mrs. Ida Uhl, George Spangler and Harvey Spangler of Cleveland. His wife and one son Isaac Spangler have preceded him to the spirit world. The funeral will be conducted from his late home Friday Afternoon at 1;30 and interment will be in Forest Rose Cemetery.
