John Spann was of Northumberland County, Virginia when he made his will dated 1st March 1721/22. It was proved 18th July 1723.

Spann, John dated 1 March 1721/22, proved 18 July 1723...
Sister Elizabeth Webb-all my lands to her and her heirs, and choice of ten negroes.
To John. Marr-my bay horse called Whistler, two thousand pounds of tobacco, and his freedom.
To Edward Coles-one gold ring of twenty shillings price.
Rest of my estate to be equally divided between my two brothers Richard Span and Samuel Span.
Two friends Richard Spann and Giles Webb to be my executors. Witness: Robert Thorp and William Toulson.
