Biography

Hester (also known as Esther/Ester/Easter) was perhaps born around 1625, estimating she was in her early 20s when she married Simon Burr. Her parentage and origin are unknown. She died in 1693, and a court record of 3 February 1693 states:[1]

Inquisition on the body of Easter Bur

Research Notes

This profile originally had a birth date of 21 Jun 1635, located in Hingham. While unlikely she was in Hingham at this time (Anderson for instance profiles no Sparhawk family arriving in America this early), other sources give this birth date in England for a Hester Sparhawk who married Samuel Adams at Chelmsford in 1668. Since it would be unlikely for this Hester to have married instead Simon Burr at only 13 years old, this birth information has been replaced on this profile with an estimated birth around 1625, which would have her marrying in her early 20s and about seven years younger than her husband.

UNKNOWN-296200 and Sparhawk-162 appear to represent the same person because: Exact date and place of death
Hi Mike, you have changed the name of this profile from Unknown to Sparhawk, but not posted any sources to confirm the change of name?

If Nathaniel Sparhawk is this person https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sparhawk-53 then although he had a daughter Esther, there is no indication that she or any other daughter married Simon Burr.

Please provide sources for this change. Thank you

Merge this profile (UNKNOWN-101015) with the other wife of Simon Burr listed as Hester Unknown Burr ( Unknown-279895) which has no sources. Why? because birth and death in UNKNOWN-279895 match this profile. Also, the children listed here matches the Burr family source, and date of marriage matches with the death of Simon's first wife. Thank you!
