Started school at Newby Elementary in 1957 in Madison county Lived in Richmond on Longview drive Also lived in the O. V. Arnett apartments in Richmond. Which was built by my grandfather O. V. Arnett My parents divorced in 1958 I went to live with my grandparents Lloyd and Lola Sparks in McKee in 1959 Moved to Winchester in 1960 with my father and stepmother Attended Victory Heights elementary from 1960 to 1964 Moved to Somerset in 1964 and attended school at Somerset Enrolled at Annville Institute in the second six weeks of my freshman year 1965 Graduated from Annville Institute in May of1969 Enrolled at Somerset Community College in the fall of 1969 Dropped out of SCC in January of 1971 Started working for Jackson County Rural Electric staking lines Enrolled at Union College in Barbourville in August 1971 Graduated from Union in August1974 with a BS degree in Business and Accounting Started work in September 1974 at Southern Dollar Stores corporate office in Richmond Started work in Feb 1975 at Jackson County Rural Electric as Assistant Office Manager. In June was promoted to Office Manager Married Dinah Sue Yost in July 26, 1975 Promoted to Finance and Accounting Manager 1981 Started work for Nolin Rural Electric in July 1984 as Office Manager Promoted to Manager of Finance and Administration in 1991 Promoted to Vice President & CFO in 2001 Retired March 31, 2016 Appointed to Jackson County Bank Board in June 2020
