Redford, Veva Lillian Sparks
Veva Lillian Redford Sparks was born Nov. 23, 1914 to Willie and Ella Sparks in Milfay, Okla.
She married Richard S. Redford on Oct. 3, 1931.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Betty Harrington and Peggy Jo Redford; one granddaughter, Lois Ann Harrington; and one grandson, Richard Ray Redford II; one sister, Vival Bolen; one brother, L.D. Sparks; and her parents.
She went to her heavenly home on July 17, 2009 in Denison.
She is survived by her children, Patsy and Troy Clark of Yukon, Okla., Maggie and Lowell Shortes of Yorktown, Barbara Kaye and Bob Pulley of Denison, and Richard Ray and Sharyn Redford of Wichita Falls; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Geraldine Wall of Yerington, Nevada, and Susie Lawson of Covina, Calif.; brother, Lonnie Sparks of Odessa; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a very loving and caring person taking care of everyone else before taking care of her needs. If you knew her, you loved her.
Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Advent Christian Church with Troy Clark officiating. Interment followed in Stroud Cemetery.
