The best way is to work your way up your tree, creating profiles one by one and adding sources as you go. Do you have a tree anywhere else online, or is this your first time building one on the internet?
Chances are pretty good that you'll find ancestors who already have profiles here on WikiTree. When that happens connect your branches to these. As time goes by and you keep adding your profiles you'll make more and more connections. Then find Daniel Boone's profile, scroll to the bottom of his page and click the underlined words "See your connection or your genealogical relationship with Daniel".
In order to create and edit ancestor profiles you will need to upgrade.

If you want to communicate with cousins or others about genealogy (whether or not you want to add profiles on our single family tree), you can upgrade at no cost to the Family Member level at any time by adding your genealogy communication preferences.
