In the Boer War of 1899-1902] Guy and Wilfrid each served through the Boer War, and each received the Queen’s South Africa Medal and three bars. An English cricketer who played for Derbyshire during the 1905 season. At home, brewer’s clerk in 1911, no marriage found. In 1939 Guy was an unmarried ordnance clerk living at at 267 Branstone Road, Burton-on-Trent with brother Wilfred and family. [1939 census] Guy died on 14 January 1958 at 267 Branstone Road, Burton-upon-Trent where he was a commercial traveller, leaving Eric Walter Guy his property worth £208. [will 1958]
