Solomon Sparrow 1701-1742, Anne Arundel, presumably the son of Thomas Sparrow and Sophia Richardson, married Charity Tydings, He sold the tract Lloyd Point, devised to him by his uncle Solomon, to Richard Galloway in 1729. He married first Cassandra Tydings and had no issue and secondly her sister Charity Tydings about 1730 at Anne Arundel, (unconfirmed) by whom two children: Thomas 2 May 1731 and Sophia 20 November 1738, both at South River Parish. Charity was probably the one born 21 August 1713 of John Tydings and Mary Ellis. Charity’s mother Mary nee Ellis married secondly Thomas Knighton on 8 October 1723. After Solomon died by April 1742, leaving a will dated 5 February 1741 naming Charity and the two childen: Thomas and Sophia. Testators were Nicolas Watkins jr, John Sparrow and James Welch. died 5 April 1742, wife Charity exec and children Thomas and Sophia inheritd the entire estate, witnessed by Nicholas Watkins, John Sparrow and James Welch. Appraised 1743 by William Sellman and John Brewer, executrix Charity Sellman formerly Sparrow. The amount of the accounts also included £1.8.10 in sterling. Received from: Mr. William Perkins (merchant in London). Payments to: estate of Isaac Milner (merchant in London). Solomon Sparrow valuation £226 on 23 Apr 23 1742 and 27 Jun 1743. Appraisers: William Sellman, John Brewer. Creditors: Samuel Preston Moore, Ebenezer Chapman. Next of kin: Samuel Lockwood, Richard Sparrow. Executrix: Charity Sellman (formerly Charity Sparrow).
