Biography

Co-heiress, of Wincobank, Yorkshire.

Background

She was the daughter and co-heiress of John Sparrow, of Wincobank, near Sheffield, Yorkshire, and Lydia Brown (the heiress of John Brown). Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Sparrow, of Lavenham, Suffolk, and Theodosia Smyth, daughter and co-heiress of Sir Samuel Smyth, of Colkirk.

Marriage and family

On 6 December 1770 she married widower James Stovin, of Whitgift, later of Sprotborough Hall, Doncaster, Yorkshire, with issue seven children. He died in 1789.

Death and burial

In 1827 she was living at Newbold, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
