Biography

Ebenezer was born 3 August 1654[1] to George Spear.[2]

Ebenezer was listed as a freeholder in 1697/98.[3] Ebenezer was also a surveyor for the town in 1701,[4] was also a committeeman in 1707,[5] served again as a surveyor in 1710,[6] served as a constable in 1712/13 (after first refusing to serve),[7] and again as a surveyor in 1713.[8]

Ebenezer married Rachel Deering on 16 July 1679.[1][2][9] These were their children:

2. Mary, b. 10 June 1682[11][1][2]
3. Samuel Spear, b. 18 May 1684[12][1][2]
4. Rachel, b. 10 April 1686[13][1][2]
5. Joseph, 25 February 1687/88[1][2]
6. Nathaniel Spear, b. 18 May 1693[14][1][2]
7. Abigail, b. 7 November 1695[15][1][2]
8. Benjamin Spear, 12 February 1698[16][1][2]
9. Deering Spear, 6 March 1700, bap. 28 April 1700[1][2]

Ebenezer died 21 March 1719.[1][2]

Spear-936 and Spear-237 appear to represent the same person because: same death date, birth date close, both married to Rachel (Deering) Spear and (born) and died in Braintree.
