Terrell Speed (age 52, born South Carolina) was living in Morgan County, Georgia as head of household with Sarah D. Speed (age 54, born Connecticut), and Hannah L. Raymond (age 52, born Connecticut), and their Speed children, born in Georgia (age, sex): i) Elizabeth (19, F), ii) Ellen M. (17, F), iii) Oliver R. (15, M). Terrell's occupation was a farmer.
In 1860,[5]
Terrell Speed (age 61, born South Carolina) was living in Morgan County, Georgia as head of household with Sarah D. Speed (age 65, born Connecticut), and their Speed children, born in Georgia (age, sex): i) Elizabeth H. (21, F), ii) Ellen M. (26, F), iii) Oliver R. (24, M); also in the household was H. L. Raymond (age 59, F, born Connecticut). Terrell's occupation was a farmer; he owned real estate valued at $5200, and personal estate valued at $28,900.
Terrell Speed signed his last will and testament on 5 Jun 1862 in Morgan County, Georgia.[6] The will was probated in the Morgan County Ordinary Court on 5 May 1863.
Terrell Speed died in 1862, and he was buried in the Madison Historic Cemeteries, Madison, Morgan County, Georgia.[1]

There is a Terrell Speed age 64 in the 1870 Census Rabun, GA with wife Jerusha Palfrey, different children. This must be a different Terrell Speed. Believe he is the one mentioned in the Hamby Bible who dies in 1877.

Jessica Hilliard...This Terrell Speed who married Sarah Douglass Raymond does not seem to have had a son named Fleming F Addrine "William" Speed. There are other Terrell Speeds with similar dates. You should look into those. Terrell was a name passed down in the family.
