Biography

John was born in 1869. He was the son of Peter Speltz and Anna Rivers. He passed away in 1928.


John A. Speltz, 59, of Rollingstone, Dies in Rollingstone

Rollingstone - John A. Speltz, 59, died at 11 a.m. today at the Kahler hospital at Rochester following an illness of two months. For the past 30 years Mr. Speltz operated a farm in Mount Vernon township near here. He was treated for one week in Rochester. The cause of death was leakage from the heart.

Surviving are his wife, four sons, Norbert and Merritt, both of Mount Vernon, and Vincent and Joseph at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna Speltz, Albert Lea; two brothers, Arthur and Theodore, both of Albert Lea; and two sisters, Mrs. Jerome Walch, Altura, and Mrs. L. J. Kramer, Elba.

Funeral arrangements were not yet completed this afternoon.
