Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1780 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. [1]
Duncan Stewart and Elizabeth Spence were contracted to marry 19 January 1793 and married 15 Feb 1793 in Dundee. [2] Her eldest son John was named for a grand uncle, John Spence, probably a brother to her father.
Elizabeth died in 1855 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. [3]
Research Notes
The Rogers Family Tree claims that Elizabeth was born in 1780 in Dundee. She would have been 13 years old at marriage if so! No baptisms for Elizabeth Spence in Dundee at or near that time have been found.
