Biography

• Gladys Agnes Spence was born in 1906 at York House, Dromore, Co. Down, Ireland. She was the daughter of David James Spence, a factory manager, and Georgina Adelaide Wallace^[1][2].
• In the 1911 Ireland census, Gladys was age 5 living at Church Street, Dromore, Co. Down with her father David James Spence (45), mother Adelaide Georgina Spence (40), brother Robert Eric Spence (9). Also Florence Margaret Swinson (20) Domestic Servant^[3].
• Gladys married William Kernohan on 21 Jan 1931 at Belfast, Northern Ireland^[4]. They had three children: Ian Kernohan, Joan Kernohan, Doreen Kernohan.
• Gladys' husband William died in 1973
• Gladys died in 1981 at Donaghadee, Co. Down.
