William Alexander was born about 1844

William Alexander Spence married Anne Jane Anderson, both full age & from Belfast, on 25 December 1873 in Belfast, County Antrim. [1] Fathers David Spence and James Anderson (saddler). Witnesses Margaret Johnston & ? Hopkins.

On 31 March 1901 the Spence family lived in Lonsdale Street, Court Ward, Belfast, Antrim. [2] William Alexander Spence (52) Traveller & Ann Jane Spence (54) with Helen Gertrude Coper Spence (18) Shop Assistant, Annie Maude Spence (16) Shop Assistant, Mabel Edith Spence (13), Lousia Spence (24) Teacher, Wm Alex Spence (20) Engineers Fitter, John A Spence (22) Traveller & Albert Edward Spence (14) Apprentice Draftsman, all Presbyterian.

On 2 April 1911 the Spence family lived in Crumlin Road, Court Ward, Belfast, Antrim. [3] County Armagh born William A Spence (62) Insurance Agent & wife, County Tyrone born Anne Jane Spence (62) with Louisa Spence (35) School Teacher, Annie Maud Spence (25) Book Keeper, Mabel Edith Spence (23) School Teacher with Canadian born Grand Son Cecil Parker (3), all Presbyterian. Married 37 years, 9 children born, 8 living.

He passed away in 1927, aged 80 and she was buried at the Belfast City Cemetery on 5 November 1927, plot D 507. [4]

Probate granted on 15 December 1927. [5]
