Biography
James was born at Cobar, the first child of Elizabeth Crisp (1866-1951) and James Spencer of Cobar. James married Ivy Matthews (1892-1982) and they had a son, also named James, born in 1917. James and Ivy both died at Bourke.

Peter Crisp
James Henry Spencer was born at Nymagee (Cobar), the only child of James Spencer (1888-1914) and Ivy Matthews (1892-1982). James married Dorothy Styles at Penrith in 1945 and, as far as is known, they lived in Bourke where James died in 1973. They had a daughter, Beverley Spencer, who married Peter North, a policeman, stationed near Dubbo. Further details of their family or whereabouts are not known.
