The son of Seth W. Spencer and Minerva Rasey, Albert was born in North Branch in 1872.[1] He married Maria (Slough) Spencer in Lapeer, Michigan on November 29, 1892.[2][3] They made their home in Burlington Township where, in 1900, Albert worked as a farm laborer.[4] His wife died in 1909 and the family moved to Pontiac where Albert eventually became a foreman at an automobile factory.[5] In 1930, the census enumerator lists his occupation as a "laborer" at the auto factory. His married son, Harold, and Harold's wife, Lena, are in the household, and their daughter, Verda.[6] By 1940, he has retired and is living with daughter's family in Arcadia. Hazel and her husband, George Macky, had three children by then.[7] Albert passed away in Brandon Township, in Oakland County, at the age of 69.[8]
