Hon. John Spencer of Althorpe (1708-1746) was the son of Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl of Sunderland and Lady Anne Churchill. He married Lady Georgiana Caroline Carteret, daughter of John Carteret, 2nd Earl Granville and Frances Worsley, on 14 February 1733/34.
