m. Sarah prob. dau. of John Meakins. (John M. names dau. Sarah Spencer in his will, Nov. 22, 1702.
Samuel was the third child and only son of his parents. His father died when he was 2, so he was raised by his step-father William Edwards. 15 pounds was set aside as Samuel's inheritance from his father William Spencer, to be paid when he turned 21.
