Biography

Samuel, son of William and Agnes (Harris) Spencer, was b. about 1639; d. about 1716.[1] m. Sarah prob. dau. of John Meakins. (John M. names dau. Sarah Spencer in his will, Nov. 22, 1702.[2]

Samuel was the third child and only son of his parents. His father died when he was 2, so he was raised by his step-father William Edwards. 15 pounds was set aside as Samuel's inheritance from his father William Spencer, to be paid when he turned 21.
