Biography

Augusta Spencer was born in 1821 at Lyme Regis, Dorset. She was a daughter of Sir Richard Spencer.

MARRIED, ON the 23rd November, at Strawberry Hill, GEORGE E. EGERTON WARBURTON, the King's Own Light Infantry Regt., to AUGUSTA, second daughter of the late Captain SIR RICHARD SPENCER, Knight, R. N., C. B , K. C. H., of Strawberry Hill, Albany.[1]

They had twelve children.

DIED. WARBURTON.—At St. Werburgh's, on November 14th, Mrs. Egerton War-burton ; aged 50.[2]

There is a chapel near Mount Barker named St Werburghs. It was built in 1873 by her husband.

She is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Albany.
