1838—June 22 Elizabeth H. Tynes to her daughter, Amanda M. Spencer for $100.00 and “for the natural love and affection which I have towards Amanda M. Spencer, my daughter…….three certain negroes to wit, Reuben aged about 22, Hannah his wife aged about 19 and her child William aged about 18 months, to have and to hold……….free from the claims and demands of her husband James J.
