Eliza Spencer was born on 30 January 1835 at Bicester, Oxfordshire, England.
In 1861 census, Eliza (26) was a house servant at Belmont Place, Lee, London, Kent, to Samuel Hawkins, 85, widower and his sister Peggy William, 70, widow. [1]
In September 1863 Eliza Spencer and John Marshall Whitham were married. [2]
