Thomas Sharp Spencer Record Date 10 Jul 1788 Location Davidson, North Carolina Warrant Number 95 Description: Roll 11: Book H-8. according to homas Sharp Spencer North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 page 301-302-303 Tells the story of Thomas Sharp Spencer. It speaks of Virginia, Tennesse and after his death 640 acres lying 1 mile south of Gallatian known this to this day as Spencers Choice. which he passed the ownership to brother William and sister Elizabeth . Please note per all inbformation given to me from my grandmother Margaret Spencer a direct decendent of Joseph he and Sarahs children where as follows Edward (Ned) SPENCER * 1765–1850 (spouse Eleanor Woolfolk) Ann (Nancy) SPENCER 1767–1832 - ( Spouse Reuben Thomas) Francis SPENCER 1769–1829 (Spouise Winifred George) Thomas Spencer 1770– (No other information except born same year as sister Elizabeth) Elizabeth Gaines Spencer 1770–1845 (Married Robert Moore) Joseph D SPENCER jr 1773–1862 ( Not much info) Winifred SPENCER 1775–1855 married Henry Blunt) Cathrine SPENCER 1777–1865 (Married Samual Conner) Barnard SPENCER 1779–1824 (Married Mary Polly Hampton) Mary (Polly) Spencer 1782–1824 ( Married David Lillard) John SPENCER 1784–1820 ( Married a Sally Garnet). So a big question is who was brother william. I know that Steve Turley has done extensive research. we spoke to each other around 15 years ago. regarding the (D) in Jospehs Name as know legal record has shown that. I have lots of documentation on Thomas parents as I have not only used the Salt Lake information where cousin Steve worked at that time but also have been to the DAR in Washington and studied many record books from that time. I am approving merger but have some questions regarding. The closest tree to mine is Steve Turleys tree.
