Biography

He was the son of George Spencer, 4th Duke of Marlborough and Lady Caroline Russell.[1] He was born on the 26th of December 1779.[2] He was baptised on the 26th of Jan 1780 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England.[3] He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on the 20th of February 1797.[4] He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on the 15th of June 1803 with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.).[4] He married the Lady Frances FitzRoy, daughter of Augustus Henry Fitzroy, 3rd Duke of Grafton and Elizabeth Wrottesley, on the 25th of November 1801 at Euston, Suffolk, England.[4][5] He died on the 10of March 1845 at the age of 65 at Brighton, Sussex, England.[4][6][7] His will was proven (by probate) on the 26th of April 1845, at under £12,000.[4]
