Biography
Desire Spencer's birth is mentioned in the family Bible of Amos Spencer. [1]
Desire married to Sanford Babcock of Otsego, New York, and had a number of children with him. The death record of their son David L. Babcock lists both parents and confirms their marriage. [2] The 1850 US Census shows a number of their children. [3]
She was widowed later in life. According to her gravestone she died 10 Nov 1883. [4]
