Biography
William was born in 1631. He was the son of Thomas Spencer and Patience Chadbourne.
His will is dated 18 June 1687. He leaves his estate to his nephew Humphrey Spencer. On 11 March 1695/96 he signs a codicil asking that Moses Spencer "my now servant" serve the rest of his time with Humphrey Spencer, and then after that time he would get the lower meadow. It was recorded on 20 January 1696/97.[1]
His date of death, 15 May 1696 is recorded in the heading of his inventory which was taken on 25 May 1696.[1]
