Anna was born in 1830. She was the daughter of Hiram Spencer and Mary Spencer. She passed away in 1897. [1]

Assisted with both 1847 companies that traveled closely together. He had his deceased brother Hiram's family, as well as his own to outfit and care for. He also came with his wife, Emily. In 1856, after serving a mission and stopping in Florence for a time to assist with the immigration effort, he returned to Salt Lake with the Grant Company.
