Richard was born on 12 Aug 1710 in New Haven, Connecticut Colony.^[1][2] He was the son of Richard Sperry and Elizabeth (Wilmot) Sperry.^[1]

He married Elizabeth Bradley on 1 Jun 1738 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.^[3][4]

There are reports he died about Sep 1740, but the couple had children recorded with births up to 1758.
