Biography
Sarah Spillman was born January 1, 1787, in Alexandria, Virginia, a daughter of Frank Spilman and Rebecca Erskine Spilman. Married Conyers White on August 6, 1804 in Alexandria, Kentucky.
Sarah is found on the United States Census of 1850, living in Campbell county, Kentucky, [1]with four of her sons:
- W. J. White, born 1812, in Kentucky
- Jonathan Conyers White, born 1813, in Kentucky, died May 1893, married Elizabeth J. Martin
- Thomas White, born 1829, in Kentucky
- Wiliam White, born 1832, in Kentucky
Additional children of Sarah and Conyers include:
- Lucinda White, born February 8, 1807, in Kentucky, died August 7, 1866, in Marion county, Indiana, married William Thatcher
- Henry Erskine White, born January 15, 1816, in Alexandria, Campbell county, Kentucky, died May 29, 1908, in Alexandria, KY, married Elizabeth Jane Carle (Carel?)
Sarah (Spilman) White died March 6 ,1855, at the age of 68 years and is buried in the Old Baptist Cemetery, in Alexandria, Campbell county, Kentucky. [2]
